Blog presentation

May 27, 2014

Dear Blog Readers,

In this blog, I have posted a variety of different stuff to inform people about Chevy Camaros. I'm choosing the blog that I first wrote about it is called "the first years". I choose this because it shows that I am a muscle car kind of guy, and it shows that I like the Chevy Camaro.

I have tried to inform people about my topic by different styles of writing. The first style of writing is expository. It shows that the person writes about something and does not put in their opinions. This shows that I can write about something and not fill up the story with my opinions. This type of writing usually explains something in a process, it also gives a lot of facts and figures, and it is usually in a logical order and sequence. I picked "Nissan GT-R" for the first one because this one shows that I can write about something and not share all my opinion on it. So I won't fill up the story or the writing with my opinion and fill it up on the facts and on the stuff I'm writing about. Another type of writing I have learned how to do is a book report. I only had one book report and its not the best. This helps me so I can inform people about the books that I have read and if they are interesting or if they don't have no important stuff in it.

I really improved my SSR's writing skills like in the blog post 2011 Chevy Camaro SLIP ZL1. This shows that I can really look deep into the thing I'm looking up, and I can explain it really well. I did really well on these because I put a lot of facts about the car in it, then I put a link to the website I used for all the facts. This helps the reader understand the website better without them going to go to the website or even looking it up on the internet and it taking forever to get the information they wanted.

I have learned how to do a collabo blog. It was challenging to do because I had to figure out what I was going to write about. I learned a lot like how decent the electric and gas cars really are. I've come to the conclusion that this blog has helped my reading and writing skills.

Sincerely,

      Josh Iloff

Book report

Published in 2002, "Muscle Car Legends," was created by Anthony Young. He explains the diffrent types of engines and engine sizes and their horsepower. This is written for anyone that would like to learn about classic cars and about engines.

I like the book because i really love classic muscle cars. This book has a lot of different stuff about cars and how they preform. This book goes by sections of the different cars and make models and it shows it in the table of contents.

Overall i would recommend this book to anyone who has the love of classic muscle cars just like me.

Nissan GT-R

I know my blog is on Chevy Camaros but i can't just not write about this car. This car is a beauty i would love to own this car but in reality i will never because this car is so expensive. This car is super fast its 0-60 time is less than 3.0 seconds. The Nissan GT-R has a lot of horsepower it has approximately 545 horsepower. The Nissan GT-R is a 3.8 liter and it is a v-6 twin turbo. This car has approximately a 19.5 gallon tank. You can get 16 MPG (miles per gallon) in the city and 23 MPG on the Hwy. This car has over head airbags this is to help the passengers in the car if there was a side collision or if they roll over. This car has a stability control in it so if the stability control senses when the car exceeds the vehicle handling limits and reduces the engine power/ and or applies the brakes to help from the car losing control and crashing. The car is all wheel drive for maximum drive ability. Nissan produced the Skyline in 1969 and 1974, and again in 1989 and 2002. Nissans leading performance vehicle, the car quickly gained a reputation for speed and affordability. This cars nickname was called the Godzilla. In late 2007 Nissan dropped the Skyline name and gained the all wheel drive GT-R. This car is placed at a ruffly price of 100,000 dollars. This car sounds like a great car to have but the car is way expensive. For more information click here.

New vs Old

The worst thing that i don't like about the Camaros is that the newer style bodies is trying to make it look like the older style bodies. The 1969 Chevy Camaro weighs approximately 3,300 lbs the price of this is $7,200. The engine is a v-8 the car has 430 horsepower and goes 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. The 2014 Chevy Camaro the price of this car is around $55,000 this cars engine is a v-8 it has 580 horsepower and goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. The older style bodies i think are way better because they actually look like a american muscle car the newer ones i don't really like because they try to look like the american muscle but its actually a sports car.

2011 Chevy Camaro SLP ZL1

This week i am going to be talking about the 2011 Chevy Camaro SLP ZL1. I really like this car even though im a classic muscle car guy this car has all the things im looking for in a car. This car has 750 HP ( horse power) it also has 728 pound per feet in torque. This car is also really fast this car can go 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and that is really fast. The car has a 11.1 second 1/4 mile going around 129 MPH ( miles per hour).  The SLP ZL1 has adjustable shocks and sway bars so you can go into the corner wat faster than the stock camaro ss. The 2011 Camaro SLP ZL1 has a custom built 7.0 liter. The top speed is 205. It has a 427 cubic inch aluminum v8 engine. There has been a lot of new stuff on it the Camaro SLP ZL1 including the carbon fiber hood. SLP has only made 69 of the specific model in honor of the 1969 ZL1. The car has also made the 2011 Camaro SLP ZL1 a six speed transmission. This car is also really expensive due to all the modified stuff on it. The price of a Chevy Camaro SS is 31,000 and the Camaro SLP ZL1 is around 110,000 dollars that is around 80,000 dollars more than the Camro SS. Myself I would love to have this car all the stuff on it and its just what i want a fast and powerful car.

The first years

There is many different body styles of the Chevy Camaros. The year and style of Camaro I really like is the 68.  General Motors introduced the first ever Chevy Camaro in September 1966, it was labeled as a 1967 model. They made the Chevy Camaros because of the lost money to Ford when they made the Mustang. These cars are really expensive. The 1968 Chevy Camaro z/28 coupe is worth approximately $49,000. The 2014 z/28 Chevy Camaro is worth approximately 60,000. This is a pretty big jump in price since its been over 46 years. I really like the ^0's body style and just because it is the muscle car. I've really liked the Chevy's pretty much ever since I've been born my dad is a Chevy guy to i must have gotten it from him.
